FIRST TWO CASES OF CORONAVIRUS CONFIRMED IN PAKISTAN

Dr. Zafar Mirza has confirmed two cases of Coronavirus in Karachi and Islamabad. Both travelled to Iran, recently. After China, Middle East and many other countries this deadly disease has reached to Pakistan too!

 

According to Dr. Zafar Mirza, the situation is stable and we don’t need to panic at all. In a press conference Dr. Zafar Mirza keeping medical etiquettes in mind stressed on not sharing patient’s information.

 

Helpline 1166 has been set up for people, incase they need any medical assistance regarding coronavirus. Dr. Zafar Mirza continued that “Please don’t hesitate to call the number”.

According to report, the 22 year old underwent a cup therapy on 18th february at Iran after which his condition started to deteriorate and suffered headache. When he reached here on 20th february thermal screening machines (machine that detects abnormality in body) were probably nonfunctional.

 

However, health department is working to obtain details of passengers he travelled with, moreover a team has been send off to examine his neighbourhood as anyone who interacted with him should be checked for the virus.

 

Schools are ordered to stay closed on 27th and 28th february, moreover Saudi government has set ban on Umrah for a meanwhile, as travelling can help virus to spread. It is a good step taken by the Saudi government, as well as Paki government is also working it’s best to safeguard us.
